Margaret has been connected with the History Center in various capacities since she began volunteering and processing archival collections as a grant intern in 2000. As the longtime archivist at Hamot Medical Center, now UPMC Hamot, she returned to the History Center as a board member and longstanding member of the collections and education committee.

Margaret earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of Wooster and holds a master’s degree in library and information science with a concentration in archives from the University of Pittsburgh.

In addition to serving as archivist for Hamot and writing a commemorative book for the hospital’s 125th anniversary, Margaret was also manager of the continuing medication education program and institutional review board administrator. She also has advertising experience as a content specialist and media buyer.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening, nature photography and creative projects.
