Monday Jun 17th, 2019

Construction of the new 6,000 square foot exhibit building on the Thomas B. Hagen History Center campus is well underway.

The elevator shaft is in, and concrete floor has been poured. The steel frame and roof are in place, and the exterior walls are up. Located behind the Wood-Morrison house, 338 West 6th Street, construction of this two-story building should be completed in October, 2019.

The first floor will feature two galleries, including an exhibit of national significance and a transportation gallery. The second floor will feature a comprehensive exhibit of the history of Erie County as designed by exhibit design firm PRD.

The installation of the exhibit of national significance is expected to be completed by summer 2020. The second-floor exhibits are expected to be completed by Fall 2021
