Tour Guide Training
Hagen History Center is looking for Docents!
Docent/Guide training will begin with an introduction to the program and the exciting new exhibits. Attendees will be given an in-depth tour of HHC, written materials on the history of the buildings and exhibits on our campus, as well as engaging stories about the people featured in the exhibits. All will receive a docent/guide shirt, name tag and lanyard and a free membership to the HHC.
There are three weeks of sessions (3 buildings), participants must be able to make 1 training day each week of sessions.
After training is completed, all candidates will conduct a mock tour with the Museum Educator and upon satisfactorily completing this shall be considered an active docent/guide. Docents/guides should be willing and physically able to stand for extended periods and be able to climb stairs.
